The project is funded with grant money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Renovos Video Scheduler will be hosted by The East Central Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) in Colorado. It will be utilized to schedule, automate and manage Cisco MCUs; Polycom MCUs; and Cisco, Lifesize, and Polycom endpoints across the network. The grant project will take advantage of Video Schedulers advanced privilege management, access rights management, endpoint approval, and MCU approval functionalities. These tools greatly simplify system administration in such large and complex video conferencing networks. A unique event offering module developed by Renovo will allow users to create and market events, classes, seminars, etc. to anyone across the network. Users within the network can search, discuss, suggest, or sign up for the events. Any event offered through Video Scheduler is fully compatible with other built in features such as the message board (listserv), email notifications, and RSS feeds. The new platform can streamline the scheduling process by empowering users to schedule multiple instances of a reservation at irregular intervals, schedule regularly recurring reservations, and even copy old or existing reservations. Furthermore, administrators will have the capability to set up custom time blocks and durations for users to choose from. The platform offers precise control, allowing users to edit individual instances within multiple and recurring reservations, or even add custom additional information fields to any reservation. In addition, the Renovo platform can be used to send automated notices, configure MCU load balancing, monitor and maintain live network usage, create reports, and more.
