Tata Communications Joins Arbor Networks Cloud SignalingSM Coalition

Burlington, MA (PRWEB) December 11, 2012

Arbor Networks, Inc., a leading provider of security and network management solutions for enterprise and service provider networks, announced today that Tata Communications, a leading provider of a new world of communications, has joined Arbors Cloud SignalingSM Coalition (CSC). The CSC is an innovative partnership between service providers, data center operators and enterprises with the mission to ensure the availability of their network infrastructure and speed time-to-mitigation for distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

Tata Communications has a globally distributed, cloud-based DDoS detection and mitigation infrastructure that protects our customers IT infrastructures from being blocked from the web. That infrastructure is working for our customers 24×7, said Eric Hemmendinger, head of product management for managed security services, Tata Communications. Many of our customers are experiencing application-layer DDoS attacks that are just as dangerous as traditional network-layer volumetric attacks, and these are often most effectively mitigated at the edge of the customers network with the Pravail device, which is seamlessly integrated with our network-based infrastructure through Arbors Cloud Signaling Coalition. With Pravail and the Cloud Signaling Coalition, we are expanding our capabilities to protect our customers and extending Tata Communications leadership position in managed security services.
