Leading UK colocation provider C4L have been named finalists for the Dorset Business Innovative Technology Award. The battle for the finalists place was even more competitive this year with a high number of entries raising the benchmark.
Over the course of the year C4L have launched the Bournemouth data centre and their Wireless Internet service. The Bournemouth data centre is one of the only data centres in the South West that is being built to Tier 3 specifications, and features biometric security, entirely lockable colocation suites, and genuine cold-aisle containment. C4L’s Wireless Internet service has been designed to provide Dorsets home owners and businesses with a secure, high speed and reliable Internet connection. Using a series of wireless antennas, C4L provides Internet speeds of up to 100Mbps, which are possible as they do not rely on the traditional copper cables which are one of the main causes of poor broadband speeds. This service will be of particular interest to those in rural areas, who have previously suffered from extremely slow, if any, Internet connections.
Matt Hawkins, Managing Director of C4L commented on the award, “Were delighted that our innovative technology has been recognised for this award. Weve invested heavily in developing new technologies over the past 12 months, and have recently launched our Wireless Internet service across Dorset. At C4L our ethos is to push technology barriers to the limit and it is fantastic that this is now being recognised by such prestigious awards.”
The Dorset Business Awards have been designed to acknowledge those companies whose vision, ambition and skills have led them to new heights of success. The winner will be announced at the Dorset Business Awards Gala Dinner which will be held in the Concert Hall at the Lighthouse, on Thursday 9th December. The BBCs Royal & Diplomatic correspondent, Nicholas Witchell, will be hosting this year’s Dorset Business Awards.
Peter Scott, Chief Executive of Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commented on the awards “The quality of entries this year has been outstanding, and the judging panels for each award category have a difficult task on their hands in order to select which entrants to put forward for the shortlist.”
C4L is an Internet Infrastructure provider and deploys a full range of services from these data centres including colocation, IP Transit, Interconnects, Data Backup, Data Storage, Virtualisation, Disaster Recovery and Leased Lines, to name just a few. These are all provided with C4Ls commitment to maximum uptime and customer support featuring a 24/7 NOC which is manned by trained professionals.
C4L is now in its 11th trading year and with a track rack of 100% growth every year its client base includes Government, FTSE 250, Financial Institutions and many of the UK’s network carriers. C4L are committed to customer satisfaction and quality of service, as demonstrated by certifications such as ISO9001 & 27001.
