Speaking to the press, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni CEO of the company said, GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) permits continuous data connectivity over wireless GSM networks. For example, mobile phones and laptops can be used to send and receive data over the Internet, e.g. e-mail and WEB surfing are typical examples. GL Conveys The Availability of its UMTS Protocol Analyzer Software

GL Conveys the Availability of its DCME Protocol Analyzer Software

Speaking to the press, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni CEO of the company said, DCME testing, analysis and verification is easy with GL’s DCME Analyzer. The DCME Analyzer is a PC-based system (Desktop/Laptop) with GL’s Dual port USB E1 pod to connect non-intrusively to the bearer side of DCME equipment. Both real-time and post-processing of the bearer signal is possible. In real-time mode, the status of the bearer including synchronization, bearer loading, fax loading and other statistics are easily monitored. In post processing mode, the entire DCME bearer signal is captured to the PC’s hard disk using the available special E1 applications for recording. The captured file is then analyzed with the DCME software.

He added, In the DCME analysis software, the software aligns to the DCME frame, and the DCME control channel(s) are decoded. The data can be displayed to permit bit level analysis and verification of channel mapping and implementation timing of the DCME protocol. DCMEs use variable bit rate encoding to create overload channels to handle overload conditions. Bearer channels are randomly selected for rate reduction. The software identifies the bit mode of each overload and normal channel (4, 3 or 2 bits).

Mr Kulkarni further added, Additionally, the Facsimile Subframe analysis software permits bit level analysis and verification of fax data sub-multiplexing on the DCME output bearer signal. The DCME Analyzer software calculates the mapping and interleaving algorithms, FEC and permits time of implementation verification.

He added, ATM network basically has two kinds of interfaces i.e. UNI (Interface between ATM User and Public ATM switch) and NNI (Interface between two Public ATM switches). Similar to the OSI Protocol model, ATM protocol architecture has an ATM Layer as Layer 2, ATM Adaptation Layer (AAL) as Layer 3, and other higher layers depending on C-Plane, U-Plane or Layer Management Plane. User information is transferred across U-Plane and Signaling messages are transferred across C-Plane. ATM-UNI signaling is used to create and release SVCs along with a particular QoS attached to it depending bandwidth on demand.

The Evolved Packet System (EPS) standardized by 3GPP is divided into a radio access network known as the E-UTRAN and a core network known as the Evolved Packet Core (EPC). The E-UTRAN consists of eNodeBs, which provide the radio interface toward the user equipment. The eNodeBs are interconnected with each other via the IP-based X2 interface and toward the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) via the IP-based S1 interfaces.

GL Enhances T1 E1 Analyzer Products and Software

GL Communications Inc. announced today the release of its enhanced T1 E1 Analyzer Software and now its Version 6.18.

Addressing the media, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni, CEO of the company said, “Our T1 E1 Analysis suite of products continues to provide the most comprehensive analysis and emulation capability of any product on the market. Any traffic over T1 E1 lines including voice, fax, modem, signaling, mobile, IP, VoIP, ATM, and more is addressed.

He continued, Major new hardware introduced are GL’s Octal & Quad T1 E1 boards, featuring high density and providing Four (4) or Eight (8) RJ-48 T1 E1 ports and multiples thereof. For example, configurations of 8, 12, 16, 64 T1 E1s in a single rack are possible. Octal boards are compatible with dual, quad, and higher core motherboards and software that simulate dual and quad cores (hyper-threading). Support is provided for all existing T1 E1 applications including comprehensive Voice, Data, Protocol, Analog, Digital Analysis / Emulation, and Echo and Voice Quality testing.

Our Multi-Call capture and Analysis is used to monitor hundreds of calls, capture the bi-directional data, signaling and traffic, simultaneously from multiple T1 E1 lines, based on the user-defined trigger configurations. Unlike the older version of CCA, once the capture trigger type is selected, users can control and run multiple capture instances on different T1 E1 ports from a single GUI.
