Today DataChambers, a North Carolina-based information technology firm, announced it has earned a five-year contract extension from Charlotte Pipe, the nation’s leading maker of cast iron and plastic pipes and fittings. Under the terms of the agreement, DataChambers will host a disaster recovery data center for Charlotte Pipe through 2016.

Charlotte Pipe made the move to DataChambers in 2009 to ensure uninterrupted operations in the event of a network or a system failure. The company also realized a significant reduction in information technology costs.
