Equus MSP Solutions, Symform and StorageCraft Partner to Offer First-Ever Unlimited Cloud Storage Included with Managed Service Provider Hardware

Minnetonka, MN (PRWEB) October 04, 2011

Equus MSP Solutions, North Americas largest Hardware as a Service provider to the channel, today announced partnerships with Symform and StorageCraft to offer the Cloud Box, MSP hardware with image-based backup software and unlimited offsite cloud storage at a flat rate included with the purchase. The new product is part of Equus MSP Solutions Hardware as a Service (HaaS) line, and program partners will receive appliances for a flat fee of $ 199 a month, which includes all necessary licensing and unlimited offsite cloud storage up to the maximum capacity of the internal storage of the appliance.

In the Cloud Box, weve created an all-in-one storage, backup, and disaster recovery solution that allows for an affordable, true flat rate offering, said Frank Gurnee, Equus MSP Solutions vice president of channel sales. Were offering a simple, accessible, real world answer to the frustrations and pricing objections that have plagued the typical backup storage models.

The Cloud Box is an Equus BDR UCA-1 with one terabyte capacity built around an Intel server hardware platform. It includes Windows Server 2008R2 and StorageCrafts award winning backup and disaster recovery software ShadowProtect, which delivers near instant virtualization for server redundancy and easy backup scheduling through a simple, intuitive interface. The Cloud Box then combines Symforms decentralized cloud storage alongside the local backup capability provided by ShadowProtect, ensuring that data stored on the device is doubly protected.

Symforms cloud storage solution allows the Equus Cloud Box to offer unlimited cloud storage for a low, flat fee, said Matthew J. Schiltz, CEO of Symform. Other cloud storage providers are limited by their data center model. They cant match Symforms speed, security, reliability and price. This is a great hardware solution for channel providers from a world class system builder.

The Symform Storage Cloud is the industrys first decentralized cloud storage solution. Users contribute inexpensive local storage equal to the amount of data that they want to redundantly store in the cloud. Symform then uses RAID-96 to geographically distribute, encrypt and shred the data. This approach allows Symform to offer the safest, fastest and most cost-effective cloud storage solutions.

EFOLDER Introduces Cloud Recovery Service Supporting Both STORAGECRAFT and DELL APPASSURE Software Solutions

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 05, 2012

eFolder is pleased to announce the general availability of the eFolder Continuity Cloud. The eFolder Continuity Cloud is a wholesale, add-on service delivered to eFolder partners that enables the fast recovery of servers in the cloud on an emergency or as-needed basis. The eFolder Continuity Cloud is the only cloud recovery service that supports both StorageCraft ShadowProtect and Dell AppAssure server image recovery from a single cloud services provider. eFolder is unique in the wholesale cloud services space by providing an open cloud backup and recovery platform that leverages multiple best-of-breed backup software solutions.

The eFolder Continuity Cloud complements eFolders complete cloud data protection services portfolio, including eFolder Backup, eFolder BDR, and the eFolder AppAssure Cloud. The eFolder Continuity Cloud allows managed service providers (MSPs) to recover client servers, applications, and data in eFolders cloud environment in the event of on-site disasters or server outages at client locations. eFolders partners can avoid the cost and complexity of building their own disaster recovery environment, while leveraging eFolders cloud to deliver premium business continuity and disaster recovery services to business clients. MSPs offering strict 24 hour service level agreements for server recovery are able to generate lucrative and highly profitable recurring revenue streams from demanding business clients.

eFolder is excited to offer partners an open cloud recovery service that supports the leading bare-metal imaging software solutions used by the IT channel, said Kevin Hoffman, eFolder CEO/CTO. This newest service underscores our commitment to delivering an open cloud platform that gives choice and flexibility to MSPs.

For more than two years, eFolder has leveraged the strengths of ShadowProtect to enable MSPs to deliver premium backup and disaster recovery services with the eFolder BDR service powered by StorageCraft, said Curt James, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for StorageCraft. Now the eFolder Continuity Cloud gives partners a powerful new tool to recover their clients ShadowProtect images in the cloud. Were very pleased to be part of the eFolder solution.

Unlike traditional cloud recovery services that force MSPs to make large, upfront financial commitments to the service provider, eFolder partners can access the eFolder Continuity Cloud with as little as a single client installation. eFolder charges partners a competitive, wholesale weekly rate only when they need the service, for instance, when a client suffers an on-site disaster like a tornado, fire, flood, or other major business disruption. eFolder partners also avoid the higher per-gigabyte fees some cloud storage service providers have traditionally charged for similar cloud recovery capabilities.

The eFolder Continuity Cloud nicely complements our use of the eFolder AppAssure Cloud, said Lliam Holmes, eFolder partner and CEO of MIS Solutions, Inc. in Suwanee, GA. Now, we can leverage Dell AppAssure software for server imaging, confidently replicate our clients to the eFolder Cloud, and recover either on-site at the client location or in eFolders environment. We think this is a winning combination.

eFolder partners may access a free trial of the eFolder Continuity Cloud by contacting their eFolder Account Manager. For other interested MSPs, solution providers, and VARs looking to join eFolder, visit http://www.efolder.net/join
