NextVault Ready to Transition Iron Mountain Customers

Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 17, 2011

Responding to a recently published report from Gartner, NextVault CEO, Kevin Harris, announced today that the company is well prepared to service Iron Mountain data backup customers seeking alternative solution providers as a result of Iron Mountains decision to sell the digital business.

Iron Mountain is a great company and the return of Richard Reese as CEO will no doubt return the company to its former prominence, commented Bud Stoddard, NextVault Chairman. The disposition of the digital business was brought about from pressures by shareholders to have the company return to its core competency.

According to the recent report, Gartner recommended to IM customers that they:

Prepare for a possible disruption in the delivery of support as staff losses may ensue, and Evaluate alternatives and prepare to transition to a new provider if you decide to exit your existing contract.

With a thirteen year track record in hosted backup and recovery services at AmeriVault and now NextVault, Harris can assure IM clients that NextVault is eminently qualified to provide a seamless transition to his company.

Data protection is critical and any disruption in backup services could result in irreparable harm to any business. Harris cautioned. It is far better to evaluate alternatives early than wait until after the acquisition when there could very well be a rush to convert.

NextVault was formed in early 2010 by online data backup pioneers Kevin Harris and Bud Stoddard with the goal of delivering Value Based Data Protection to its customer.

About NextVault

DATAPOINT Announces Next Steps in Transition to Sister Company Expedients Brand Name

Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) October 01, 2012

DataPoint, Baltimores leading provider of data center colocation, managed hosting services and network connectivity announced they are taking the next steps in a brand transition to their regionally based and commonly owned sister company; Expedient. The businesses have been commonly owned and operated since 2004, but had previously retained their local brand names.

Under the Expedient brand name, DataPoint will continue to offer the most reliable and comprehensive suite of IT solutions in the area and remains committed to providing local on-site support 24×7. The company currently operates eight (8) of the Expedient data centers in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Together, they form a network of data centers that work seamlessly to provide high quality colocation and managed hosting services regardless of location. The firms parent company; Continental Broadband LLC, acquired or built these businesses at different times, which resulted in different brand names. With four of the six markets now operating under the brand name Expedient, the parent company decided to adopt Expedient as its brand in all markets, including Baltimore. Since our multi-market capabilities have become so important to our customers seeking geographic redundancy and disaster recovery alternatives, we believe this will eliminate confusion for our customers and prospective customers, who may choose to take advantage of our multi-market capabilities said Curtis DePass, DataPoints General Manager.

Weve decided to take the next step, and we will more prominently display the Expedient name as our primary Brand. Beginning in September, through the end of 2012, we will refer to ourselves as Expedient, formerly DataPoint. Starting in 2013 we will phase out the DataPoint name completely and from then on, we will simply be Expedient. We again emphasize that this change is in name only and is not the result of any ownership change added DePass. Please visit http://www.datapointinc.com/expedient for more information.

About DataPoint

DataPoint, located at 1050 Hull Street in Baltimore, Maryland, launched a new facility contiguous to their first data center at Under Armours Tide Point commercial office park on January 19, 2012. The new facility is part of Expedients multi-city network of data centers via connection to a fully redundant 10Gig fiber backbone, which facilitates integrated disaster recovery and backup solutions for the companys customers. Features of the new Data Center include an additional 6,000 square feet of raised floor space, dual power feeds, redundant 400 kVa Liebert UPS systems, 220 tons of cooling, two 800 KW Caterpillar diesel generators and of course, DataPoints standard 24×7 live local support. DataPoint also offers a wide range of managed services such as virtualization, cloud computing, remote backups, management of equipment, storage area networks and more. Adult Primary Care Associates Transition EHR and Practice Management Systems Backed by ProviDyns Private Cloud

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 22, 2012

Adult Primary Care Associates, a physician practice specializing in internal medicine and preventive healthcare, has selected ProviDyn for private cloud services. Earlier this year, the practice enlisted ProviDyn to determine if its existing technology infrastructure could support a move of Allscripts electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems to cloud services.

Today, with financial incentives and stimulus stemming from the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and Meaningful Use, an increasing number of healthcare providers are moving to electronic records to capture patient information, track and report clinical conditions and improve performance. However, many dont realize that a solid and reliable infrastructure is critical for a successful transition to electronic records.

Adult Primary Care Associates wanted to take advantage of the benefits of upgrading their Allscripts technology but had an aging infrastructure that could potentially cause problems in its efforts to migrate to the latest platform. ProviDyn conducted a thorough evaluation and recommended that the practice consider migrating to a private cloud versus the more expensive option of purchasing all new equipment. With cloud services, the practice can move forward knowing that its infrastructure is able support growth to the EHR and practice management systems.

With the private cloud, Adult Primary Care Associates is able to upgrade its practice management processes and also take its infrastructure to a new level, said Hamish Davidson, president and co-founder of ProviDyn. Taking the added step of ensuring that the infrastructure and existing equipment can handle going electronic is often a key element of a successful implementation.

We had reached a point with our existing infrastructure, that we were faced with major hardware improvements in order to be able to keep up with continuous upgrades to our software, said Julie Clemons, Practice Manager of Adult Primary Care Associates. ProviDyn came in and conducted a thorough evaluation. Their recommendations for upgrading our infrastructure were strategic and cost effective.
