GL conveys the availability of its "Online and Real-Time Network Surveillance Capability for SS7, ISDN, and Wireless Networks"

Gaithersburg, Maryland (PRWEB) March 13, 2012

GL Communications Inc. a leader in providing PC-based test, analysis and simulation products and consulting services to the worldwide telecommunications industry, conveyed today the availability of “Online and Real-Time Network Surveillance Capability for SS7, ISDN, and Wireless Networks” with their comprehensive NetSurveyor product line.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni CEO of the company said, The SS7 network is the backbone for fast and efficient signaling irrespective of network type – whether wireless, wired, or VoIP. Also, the inherent database features of SS7 make todays advanced intelligent features and services a reality. To keep pace with this evolution, GL has enhanced its SS7 monitoring and diagnostic system. Not only can it be used for billing verification, remote protocol analysis, and traffic engineering, but now it can also provide key performance indicators, failure analysis, and call trace capability, to name a few.

He added, A network operator, service provider, or equipment manufacturer must have the means to perform the above surveillance tasks remotely, automatically, and non-intrusively. Fortunately, the network backbone contains a wealth of information that can be monitored and collected to support these activities.

Mr Kulkarni further explained, GL’s SS7 (and ISDN) Network Monitoring System uses an open three tier distributed architecture driven by non-intrusive hardware probes, intelligent software, and a database engine. The architecture is shown above and consists of a scalable and flexible system, so the user can use it for multiple sites and various applications. T1 E1 T3 Probes are deployed in the field to monitor various protocols and conditions, which are then collected at a central site into a database. Data records are stored into a centralized database (Oracle, SQL-Server, DB2, etc.) using ODBC. Various Client applications can be written (in VB, Power Builder, etc.) to interrogate database records and provide a user-friendly interface for query and display. With the use of web server, the monitoring can also be facilitated using simple web browser interface, called NetSurveyor.

Important Features

.T1 / E1 Probes non-intrusively monitor physical lines of the network.

LeadMaster Announces Advanced Integrated Dialing Capability

Roswell, GA (PRWEB) June 30, 2012

LeadMaster announces the next level of integrated phone dialer capability for the LeadMaster platform called LeadMasterVoice. The LeadMaster system provides software as a service for sales lead management, CRM, marketing automation and now advanced integrated dialing capability. This enhancement is a great productivity booster for anyone who uses the telephone for business. Some of the features include power dialing, click dialing, progressive dialing, silent monitoring, whisper coaching, call recording, supervised transfers, blind transfers, and conferencing.

The progressive dialing feature allows LeadMaster clients to click a button to leave a pre-recorded message whenever connecting with voice mail or an answering machine. The system automatically provides customers with an unlimited number of lines, allowing users to move on to the next call while the pre-recorded message is playing.

Heres an example of how this powerful feature works. Suppose a sales rep begins calling a list of qualified prospects. The first three outbound calls failed to reach a live person, rolling over to the prospects voicemail system. With the LeadMaster system, the rep could be dialing the fourth prospect call before the first call was even finished leaving a recorded voicemail! Users have the option of leaving up to three unique pre-recorded messages for maximum flexibility. Users can even personalize the message by saying Hello, (prospect’s name), then clicking the button that plays the pre-recorded message.

The silent monitoring, whisper coaching, and call recording features are excellent for call centers. With whisper coaching, the supervisor who is monitoring the call can speak to the agent who is placing the call and the person on the other end of the line will not hear the supervisor. The system also includes detailed call reporting on the account, including the number called, the call date/time, and the duration of the call.

LeadMasters outbound dialing feature is available at just $ 29 to $ 39 per month for unlimited calls to the US and Canada. Clients have the option of using a USB or PC headset. With an analog telephone adaptor customers can use a standard telephone or headset. To receive toll free or local phone calls is an additional $ 10 per month.

Russell King, LeadMaster CEO said, “Integrating a dialer with the LeadMaster system provides most of the things people are looking for in this type of system: lead management, sales management, CRM, email marketing, marketing automation and telephony functionality. We want to provide our customers with an affordable, easy to use system that is integrated seamlessly so regardless of whether they want to do lead nurturing, website integration or simply place phone calls, they’ll find LeadMaster has a solution.”

LeadMaster has chosen to partner with EVS (Electronic Voice Services, Inc) to provide this solution. EVS has been creating telephone dialing products since 1993. Richard Hardgrave, President of EVS said, Users get more sales in less time because they can double, triple, or even quadruple their contacts compared to dialing manually.

CorreLog Further Extends Mainframe Log Management Reach, Announces ACF2 and Top Secret Syslog-to-SIEM Capability

Naples, FL (PRWEB) August 30, 2012

CorreLog, the leader in software solutions for IT security event correlation, today announced that CA ACF2 and Top Secret security events have been added to its industry leading Agent for z/OS. The inclusion of ACF2 and Top Secret data to the Agent for z/OS further broadens CorreLogs mainframe reach into log management for security information and event management (SIEM) systems, a software space predominantly running on distributed platforms. The CorreLog Agent for z/OS is now capable of delivering mainframe event data for SIEM in the form of TSO Logons, Production Job ABENDs, TCP/IP Connections, FTP File Transfers, and data from DB2, RACF, ACF2 and Top Secret.

With more critical enterprise data and applications residing on IBM z/OS, auditing becomes a key concern as organizations prepare to maintain compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, FERC, FISMA, PCI DSS, SOX and many others. Adding ACF2 and Top Secret data to enterprise SIEM systems not only provides improved visibility to mainframe security but also offers an added reference point for compliance in the event of an audit.

A mainframe is a huge investment for any organization, said George Faucher, CorreLog president and CEO. And Im not just talking about the pure cost of the hardware, Faucher added. When you consider the value of the data and applications running on a mainframe and the consequences of non-compliance, its natural for us to continue to expand the scope of events our z/OS agent can manage. Real-time security and DB events are crucial and required when dealing with regulatory compliance.

The CorreLog Agent for z/OS runs on both the CorreLog Enterprise Server or can run as a complement to another SIEM solution. The Agent for z/OS allows users to view mainframe SMF security, database and TCP/IP events, alongside events from Windows, UNIX, Linux, routers, firewalls, and other IT assets. When included with other log and event data within the CorreLog Server, CorreLogs unique correlation engine and helpdesk ticket auto notification feature can alert IT security personnel of cyber-threats before they happen.

Were striving to give customers a comprehensive view of their IT security with an audit trail, added Faucher. Todays announcement and last weeks announcement of the CorreLog Agent for SAP are two great reasons to look at CorreLog for securing your IT, regardless of your current SIEM system.

The ACF2 and Top Secret inclusion to the CorreLog Agent for z/OS comes on the heels of CorreLog joining the CA Technology Partner Program (TPP) earlier this year. CAs TPP is a collaborative effort with ISVs and IHVs across the world to develop and market integrated solutions that complement CA Technologies offerings. More information on the CA TPP can be found at http://www.ca.com.

About CorreLog:

CorreLog, Inc. is the leading independent software vendor (ISV) for IT security log management and event correlation. CorreLog’s flagship product, the CorreLog Enterprise Server, combines log management, Syslog, Syslog-NG, SNMP, auto-learning functions, neural network modeling, proprietary semantic correlation, automated help-desk ticketing and reporting functions into a unique multi-platform security solution. CorreLog Enterprise Server operates across Windows, UNIX, Linux and mainframe platforms, shipping with an out-of-box PCI DSS compliant CorreLog agent for IBM z/OS, the worlds most popular mainframe operating system.

CorreLog delivers an essential viewpoint via dashboard console, providing verifiable and actionable information on the activity of users, devices, and applications to proactively meet organizational SLAs and regulatory requirements. Additionally, CorreLog automatically identifies and responds to any suspicious behavior, network attacks, or policy violations by indexing and correlating user activity and event logs, then archives the data in an enterprise server system location. This allows customer organizations to quickly identify then proactively respond to compliance violations, policy breaches, cyber-attacks and insider threats. For auditing and forensics, CorreLog facilitates regulatory requirements set forth by PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, FISMA, NERC, NCUA, and many other standards. CorreLog markets its solutions through both direct and indirect partner channels.
