Online Tech Launches Secure, Online Data Storage

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) June 16, 2009

Online Tech, Michigan’s largest managed data center operator, has launched OTVault, a new online data storage product designed for secure, high volume online backup and archiving for businesses.

Online Tech, long preaching to the market that data is as valuable as money for most businesses, now offers another way for businesses to protect their valuable data. OTVault is an easy, cost effective solution for backing up servers or archiving data from any location into a secure, SAS 70 certified data center.

Online Tech leveraged the industry trends of declining Internet and storage costs, along with its high availability SAS70 certified data center, to introduce a new price point in the market for high volume, multi-terabyte online data storage. Designed as an easy first step for disaster recovery, businesses can map the online storage to their in house servers and use their current backup software to write backups and send critical data at Online Tech’s SAS70 certified data centers.

OTVault is not targeted at consumers, laptops, or desktop backups. The product is designed specifically for server backups requiring 100 Gigabytes to 10 Terabytes of online storage. Unlike Mozy, or other low end solutions that limit upload speeds to limit the amount of backup data which can be transferred each day, OTVault starts with over 50 Gigabytes of data transfer per day and can be upgraded to higher speeds.

Memsic, Inc. of Andover Massachusetts – a producer of sensor technologies – found that OTVault provides them with the online data storage they needed for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. “With OTVault, our data is securely sent to SAS 70 certified data centers with redundant fail-safe systems. We found OTVault to be a cost effective option for our disaster recovery ” said Cheryl Merino, a Manager at Memsic.

OTVault starts at $ 199 for 100 GB and $ 99 for each additional 100 GB. This price point makes it a cost effective alternative to traditional tape backup which has high failure rates, physical security risks, and slow data recovery times. OTVault overcomes these problems and eliminates the costs of tapes, hardware maintenance, offsite tape delivery and storage, and the personnel costs to manage the tape rotations.

With the launch, Online Tech is offering an OTVault trial free for 15 days. To learn more about this offer visit onlinetech.com/online_data_storage.

Online Tech Launches Cost Effective SAN Disaster Recovery Hosting

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) June 23, 2009

In conjunction with upcoming Dell seminars at its data centers, Online Tech, Michigan’s largest managed data center operator, has launched a SAN Disaster Recovery Package — Online Tech will host a secondary SAN at its secure SAS70 certified data centers, including Internet connectivity, for only $ 399 per month.

At the EqualLogic seminar this week (June 25th), Dell will demonstrate SAN-to-SAN replication between two Online Tech data centers. The EqualLogic SANs were set up in less than one hour with the primary SAN replicating data, snapshots, and restoration points to the secondary SAN for disaster recovery at a separate data center.

“Other SAN solutions we tested took a high level of expertise and days to configure the cross data center replication” said Jason Yaeger, Online Tech’s Operations Manager. “We were stunned at how quickly we could set up cross data center SAN-to-SAN replication with Dell’s EqualLogic product.”

SAN-to-tape backup is quickly giving way to offsite SAN replication, driven by three main factors: lower costs of disk storage, cheaper Internet connectivity costs, and easier to use SAN solutions.

Compared to daily SAN-to-tape backups that are “sent” offsite, offsite SAN-to-SAN replication provides the peace of mind that the SAN data is “continuously” replicated. The data can be

restored at any time without the delay involved in retrieving tapes from an offsite storage or the risk that the data may not be recovered from a bad tape.

The SAN hosting package starts at $ 399 per month and includes everything needed to host a Dell EqualLogic SAN at Online Tech’s secure, SAS 70 audited data centers, including:

SAN colocation in a secure, locked rack including redundant power
SAS 70 certified data center assuring physical and network security
5 Mbps Internet bandwidth for up to 50GB SAN-to-SAN transfer per day
Secure VPN network connection into the SAN

To attend a Dell seminar at Online Tech’s data center, or to learn more about this package, visit http://www.OnlineTech.com/EqualLogic, or call Online Tech at (734) 213-2020.

GL conveys the availability of its "Online and Real-Time Network Surveillance Capability for SS7, ISDN, and Wireless Networks"

Gaithersburg, Maryland (PRWEB) March 13, 2012

GL Communications Inc. a leader in providing PC-based test, analysis and simulation products and consulting services to the worldwide telecommunications industry, conveyed today the availability of “Online and Real-Time Network Surveillance Capability for SS7, ISDN, and Wireless Networks” with their comprehensive NetSurveyor product line.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni CEO of the company said, The SS7 network is the backbone for fast and efficient signaling irrespective of network type – whether wireless, wired, or VoIP. Also, the inherent database features of SS7 make todays advanced intelligent features and services a reality. To keep pace with this evolution, GL has enhanced its SS7 monitoring and diagnostic system. Not only can it be used for billing verification, remote protocol analysis, and traffic engineering, but now it can also provide key performance indicators, failure analysis, and call trace capability, to name a few.

He added, A network operator, service provider, or equipment manufacturer must have the means to perform the above surveillance tasks remotely, automatically, and non-intrusively. Fortunately, the network backbone contains a wealth of information that can be monitored and collected to support these activities.

Mr Kulkarni further explained, GL’s SS7 (and ISDN) Network Monitoring System uses an open three tier distributed architecture driven by non-intrusive hardware probes, intelligent software, and a database engine. The architecture is shown above and consists of a scalable and flexible system, so the user can use it for multiple sites and various applications. T1 E1 T3 Probes are deployed in the field to monitor various protocols and conditions, which are then collected at a central site into a database. Data records are stored into a centralized database (Oracle, SQL-Server, DB2, etc.) using ODBC. Various Client applications can be written (in VB, Power Builder, etc.) to interrogate database records and provide a user-friendly interface for query and display. With the use of web server, the monitoring can also be facilitated using simple web browser interface, called NetSurveyor.

Social Media Marketing Company Provides Online Reputation Management and Monitoring

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 10, 2012

Dr. Matthew Loop and Dr. Len Schwartz co-created Automated Social Networking (ASN) to help small, local businesses maximize the power of the Internet and social media. Using this new service, local companies can now track, measure and manage their online presence and what’s being said (good and bad) about them.

The Internet can be an exceptionally beneficial force for a small business, said Dr. Loop. But, he added, it can also be damaging to business if the wrong information, such as negative reviews, blogs and reports, are published. The fact is anyone can put anything they want to on the web about a company and that information can find its way to page one of Google. Reputation management services from Automated Social Networking can expose and remedy any image problems businesses are having due to adverse material on the Internet.

Reputation management services include integrated search engine tracking and data, allowing companies to know how much their online presence has grown over the course of a month. Helping to ensure visibility online is ASNs ability to get companies prominently displayed in the top three local search directories and in directories that are specific to any enterprise.

Towards understanding why a company stands where it does, ASN sends each business a report focusing on monthly analytics, which means that company will know its SEO score. They’ll know how they’re fairing with search engines and if they need to adjust what they are doing. Plus, ASN has a unique feature that allows businesses to input data and make corrections on all directories with one push of a button.

Reputation management monitoring is ongoing and subscribers get digital updates through email or directly texted to their cellphone when new ratings or reviews are published. This new service also monitors mobile networks, which is especially important as more and more people are using their cellphones to access information on a daily basis. With local targeting of placement in directories and with map placement, businesses will be seen by those in the local area who are most likely to buy the product or service.

One great benefit, observed Dr. Loop, is the business owner gets peace of mind from knowing that their social networking, search engine optimization and reputation management are all being handled for them 24/7. Our approach is twofold. We help create a positive presence while working towards identifying any negatives that may be out there.

ASN, which is the largest turnkey, social media marketing company in the world, was created and founded by Dr. Loop and Dr. Len Schwartz. Both are experienced marketing moguls and entrepreneurs. ASN gives doctors, professionals and small business owners the ability to create a consistent, comprehensive social media and Internet marketing campaign. This helps to greatly increase new, targeted traffic to their websites.

Indusface Launches Powerful Anti Malvertising Feature to Counter Malicious Online Advertisements

Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) April 18, 2012

Indusface, an award winning website security company, has released a powerful anti malvertising feature in the latest version of its flagship product IndusGuard. This new feature aims to combat the threat that businesses and publishing networks face due to increased spread of malware using online advertising, a lucrative setting for miscreants to attack websites through malvertising. IndusGuard addresses this whilst providing continuous, automated and comprehensive security testing for vulnerability assessment, application audit, malware monitoring, blacklisting and defacement detection. This complemented with expert revalidation, business logic and zero false positives checks enable Indusface to provide total website security for businesses globally.

More than 10 million users were exposed to drive-by exploits in February 2012. The malware attacks have doubled since last year, and there is a 95% probability that an internet user will hit an infected page within three months of web browsing. Nearly 10 billion ad impressions were compromised by malvertising in 2010 alone which makes malvertising amongst the fastest growing security threats online, as any website with advertising is a target.

Internet ad spend is expected to reach $ 94.97 billion in 2013.The lure for fraction of profits from this pie has malvertisers using advertisements to serve up links to harmful sites on legitimate websites. In order to compromise a website, embedding a malicious code is not a necessity. In some cases, users do not even have to click ads to trigger malware; hidden iframes can be called using JavaScripts which load files containing malicious code to exploit various vulnerabilities. Users are more likely to click on the ad because it is present on a site which they trust.

Trusted brands like Facebook, Spotify and Twitter whose services are mostly free, have to derive their revenue from advertisers. Ad sponsored services are necessary to help businesses generate revenue, but are extremely prone to malvertisers on the prowl as its tough to control the content provided by these ads. Various organizations have been exploited time and again, despite stringent online security measures, thus making it imperative to maintain constant vigilance and use anti malvertising technology to counter these attacks.

It is because of the presence of such a hostile threat landscape that Indusface has enhanced its flagship product IndusGuard to help prevent malvertising attacks through all types of ad networks. IndusGuard is a zero touch, non- intrusive, cloud based solution which safeguards websites by daily, automatic and comprehensive scanning for systems and application vulnerabilities, and malware. It provides a broad coverage of security issues, which includes finding known and unknown malware. Indusfaces next generation automated web scanning platform delivers IndusGuard Basic, IndusGuard Advanced and IndusGuard Premium solutions to customers worldwide, whilst addressing the needs of the most basic to large mission critical websites. With IndusGuard, websites can now safely display third party ads without having to worry about whether anti-malvertising controls have been implemented or not.

The new anti malvertising feature will help scan and detect malicious ads, trace their source, provide immediate alerts, and identify zero day malvertising through the wide ranging security intelligence of IndusGuards powerful web scanning technology on a daily basis. Ads will get scanned with a high level of automation which will deep dive into the main and sub ad networks. Protecting users from potential malware attacks is important for the companys image and reputation. Sites overrun with malware get blacklisted by search engines. With websites being connected to many third party networks for ads, link building etc, it is imperative to get the content from them scanned before being placed on the main website. This will go a long way in protecting brand reputation, reduce technical and liability costs which end up affecting businesses and protect users from malvertising attacks.

Extensive research has shown that malvertising continues to be amongst the top 3 threats online. Organizations need to adopt stringent measures to proactively secure their websites and protect users from malicious ads. IndusGuards ground breaking technology and deep understanding of security needs will help secure online advertising and protect websites from third party malware, enabling businesses to manage and mitigate such risky exposures on a daily basis, Claude Essomba, President & Founder of GetSec Sarl.

The incidents of malvertising are on an alarming rise with millions of users being affected and most of them not knowing it till its too late. Unsecured third party content can very easily damage brand image and blacklist websites from prominent search engines, leading to huge accountable and non-accountable losses running into billions of dollars. Therefore, tackling malware and malvertising from an early stage is absolutely mandatory. The growing need to fight this has been identified amongst our clients, which is why we have expanded IndusGuard to include the new anti malvertising feature. With this expansion, we have significantly strengthened our vision of ensuring that our product offering covers all aspects of security, giving our customers unique continuous total website security coverage said Dhanya Thakkar, President, Indusface.

Cmple.com - Fast Growing American Online Retailer now With a new Redesigned Website

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) April 23, 2012

Cmple.com – the new redesigned website with user friendly interface that offers a plethora of products to meet ones home entertainment needs. The sites impressive variety and quality makes it the place to go for electronic accessories such as HDMI cables and other cords. With the increasing popularity and new innovations in entertainment technology, Cmple allows its customers to thoroughly enjoy their high-tech gadgets like high-definition televisions and game consoles.

The origin of the company was certainly a humble one. It truly is a success story. Cmple started out with two people, $ 2000, a basement, and big dreams of providing people what they need. They knew that the current innovations in technology would lead an increasing number of devices to require advanced equipment to maximize on video and audio clarity. They realized then that HDMI cables and the like would be faced with an exponentially growing demand. It was then that the two knew what they wanted to sell, and with this, a company arose.

In a short period of time, their ideas grew bigger and bigger. In 2009, they moved from the basement to a 15,000 square foot warehouse and abandoned their obsolete distribution techniques by computerizing and automating their purchasing process. Due to these improvements, the efficiency and accuracy of the companys orders increased, causing higher customer satisfaction.

Their techniques clearly worked, as the specific demand for HDMI cables and accessories grew, and grew fast. They were able to provide their customers the best products and the lowest prices with the most reliable purchasing procedure.

The time came once more to expand the business further. In 2011, Cmple was able to open a second warehouse, which allowed them to keep a significantly larger inventory. This second expansion allowed for a larger inventory and a far better selection of products available for purchasing. They were then able to serve any and all HDMI cable and home theater accessory needs.

Yet Cmple isnt just about the products another one of the companys main focuses is the service that comes along with the purchase. It isnt unusual for the average person to have problems setting up their electronics. Considering the different cords and slot and what not, it can somebody be difficult for someone to fidget around to get everything in the right place. A major benefit of purchasing from Cmple is that they have a Support Team that is always available during business hours to help their customers with any problem that may come up during the use of one of their products. They stress the importance of making sure that their customers can truly enjoy their products.

When they ship a product, they provide and accurate calculation as to when it will arrive at its intended destination, which can save people the money and worries that comes with internet shopping.

With the country in a current economic recession, many companies have serious trouble keeping the cost of their products under control. They raise prices and lower quality in order to maximize on profits. However, at Cmple.com, these business tactics are certainly not the common practice. A nearly unique feature of business at Cmple is its close relationship directly with manufacturers. This relationship allows it to sell high-quality products at the most affordable prices. However, the benefit of their relationship is twofold. Cmple helps the manufacturers develop innovative products, as well as make suggestions for making the installation of their products more user-friendly.

SOS Pulse has great enterprise-strength capabilities, and will free IT managers from the time-intensive effort of deploying, configuring and managing their disaster recovery solution.

SOS Pulse provides businesses features such as:

Deploy backups remotely – Pulse empowers SMEs to deploy backup clients and policies to the individual PC’s on their network from one central location.

Push Updates – View on-demand information about all the deployed online backup installations, access version information, and distribute patch updates out to all connected machines.

Monitor Backups – Instant access to detailed information on backups that have ran, failed to run, and might have had problems during the backup session.

Track Accounts – Central view of all the deployed user accounts, track which accounts are deployed on which machines, and what events & backup sessions have occurred on a per machine or per account basis.

Create Server Policies – Pulse comes with common policies for laptop fleets, LAN connected workstations, file servers & email servers, but you can easily customize these policies for different networks, users, and machines.

Set Backup Interval – Customize the backup interval and time slots. Assign backup intervals based upon the times that align with your specific needs.

New Dolly Drive Release Offers Bigger, Faster Online Backups of Apples Time Machine with Upgraded Dolly Grid Infrastructure & up to 2 TB Storage with Seeding

(PRWEB) May 17, 2011

Cloud services provider Cirrus Thinking announces the launch of version 1.2 of Dolly Drive, the first ever cloud storage for Apples back-up software Time Machine. The version 1.2 upgrades give users faster upload speeds, increased stability, incremental cloning and up to 2 terabytes of storage with a seeding program.

Dolly Drive is an online storage service designed for the Apple community. In addition to seamless Time Machine integration, the application allows users to duplicate their entire computer on an external hard drive for lighting speed recovery in the event of a hard drive failure or disaster. Launched in January, Dolly Drive was named MacLife magazines Best of Show and Best Software at MacWorld 2011.

Our immediate goal after the launch was to have the upload experience match the ease of the product and in a very short time, weve done it! said Anthony Palermo, Chief Product Officer and CEO. Our new data center infrastructure and multi-site grid network significantly upgrades Dolly Drives upload speeds, stability, and storage size capability, and our seeding program overcomes one of the great challenges of online backup – the lengthy initial upload.

Dolly Drive subscriptions can be purchased at http://www.dollydrive.com in packages from 50GBs to 2 TBs for $ 5 to $ 55 per month which includes online storage, backup through Apples Time Machine, and software to create bootable clones on a local external hard drive.
