Zenoss Named a SearchDataCenter.com Product of the Year

Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 8, 2010

Zenoss, Inc., a leading commercial open source provider of Unlegacy enterprise IT management products for the virtual, and cloud-based dynamic datacenter is honored to announce that Zenoss Enterprise received the SearchDataCenter.com 2009 Products of the Year bronze award in the Systems Management category. More than 25,000 organizations around the world use Zenoss applications, network and systems monitoring products to manage their physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT infrastructure, including close to 300 subscribers of Zenoss Enterprise.

Since SearchDataCenter.com evaluated the product for this award, Zenoss has released a new version of its award-winning systems solution in November 2009. With added certified support for VMWare and Amazon EC2 monitoring, as well as other highly scalable datacenter features, Zenoss Enterprise provides IT managers with the ability to monitor physical, virtual and cloud environments of significant size in one product. Zenoss Enterprise enables IT organizations to improve their IT service delivery in the next generation, dynamic datacenter at an affordable price.

The SearchDataCenter.com editorial staff, in conjunction with a team of users, industry experts, analysts, and consultants selected Zenoss Enterprise as a Product of the Year based on criteria including innovation, performance, ease of integration into existing environments, ease of use and manageability, functionality and value.

Supporting Quotes

We are honored to be recognized by SearchDataCenter.com as a systems management Product of the Year based on the technology innovation and affordability of Zenoss Enterprise, said Bill Karpovich, Zenoss co-founder and CEO. Our repeated acknowledgement by organizations like SearchDataCenter and significant customer deployments in large brand name enterprises clearly indicates that IT leaders are increasingly turning to Zenoss for a better unified monitoring solution for physical, virtual and cloud environments.

According to SearchDataCenter.com’s 2009 data center purchasing intentions survey, only 9% of U.S. data center managers plan to increase spending on systems management tools, said SearchDataCenter.coms executive editor Matt Stansberry. Budget-strapped IT shops simply don’t have the staff or the money to support high-maintenance systems management software — they need an off-the-shelf, inexpensive technology.

Pedigree Technologies Plans Headquarters Move after Record Growth Year

Fargo, ND (PRWEB) May 02, 2012

Late in 2003, a small technology company with two employees moved into NDSUs Research and Technology Park to start development of a software application that would connect and automate sensor-enabled physical assets.

Still headquartered out of Fargo, ND, Pedigree Technologies has become an award-winning machine-to-machine business solutions provider with a national footprint. Since the commercial launch of its OneView application suite in 2009, Pedigree has more than doubled its customer base each year, with a 226% increase in 2011 alone.

From its office in NDSUs Technology Incubator, the company provides cloud- and tablet-based applications that locate, monitor, and diagnose high-value assets, equipment, and vehicles. This technology allows machines to engage in real-time dialogue with the enterprise and the mobile workforce, improving operations and logistics for more profitable fleet and field service management.

This kind of rapid growth speaks not only to demand for the technology, but to the quality and innovation coming out of our region, said Alex Warner, founder and chief executive officer of Pedigree Technologies. Sure, we have competitors out there, but ultimately we win business because of the hard work and dedication of our employees, from product engineering to support.

To support this growth, the company has added 40% more employees since the commercial launch and is preparing to relocate to its own facility in the Urban Plains area of Fargo. With a satellite office in Sioux Falls and a national sales presence, Pedigree Technologies serves several industries, including oilfield services, heavy and mobile equipment management, transportation and logistics, agriculture, and mechanical services.

Pedigrees success and rapid growth is illustrative of the economic stimulation being created at NDSU. They are one of a growing number of North Dakota success stories we are proud of having started here, said NDSU President Dean Bresciani.

“We congratulate Pedigree Technologies and Alex Warner on all they have achieved during their impressive growth in their initial years at the NDSU Research and Technology Park,” said Tony Grindberg, executive director of the Park. “A number of companies such as Pedigree have achieved success after their start-up phase and graduated from the Park. We continue to support start-up businesses that coincide with core research competencies at NDSU.”

The company got started with a 2005 trial project using wireless sensors and remote temperature monitoring in sugar beet piles, which introduced the company as an innovator in remote monitoring and machine-to-machine technology.

In 2007 Pedigree was awarded a multi-million dollar contract with the U.S. Navy for the implementation of an intelligent wireless operating network. Pedigree Technologies launched its OneView product commercially two years later and has been recognized on the international M2M Top 100 list from trade publication Connected World for five consecutive years.

Most recently Pedigree Technologies was presented with the Frost & Sullivan 2011 North American New Product Innovation Award in M2M-based Fleet Management Software.

The company was founded years ago on a philosophy that hasnt changed, said Warner. Its that web-based software and services can improve operational efficiencies without significant investments in infrastructure or technology resources.

Locally, Warner was recently announced as a finalist for the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Warner attributes the nomination to the success of his employees and looks forward to celebrating the companys rapid growth in the new facility this June.

The NDSU Research and Technology Park provides a space that facilitates innovation and community-building among entrepreneurs at early-stage companies, allowing them to focus on the core business in the early years, Warner said. Pedigree Technologies was located at NDSUs Research 2 before moving into the Technology Incubator in 2007.

“NDSUs Research Park and Pedigree have been partners from the beginning, bringing opportunities to the region, said Dr. Philip Boudjouk, NDSU vice president for research, creative activities and technology transfer. Our researchers and students continue to work with area companies such as Pedigree, contributing to technology-based economic growth. We congratulate the company on its many successes and look forward to continuing as research partners in the future.”

eMazzanti Named as WatchGuard NE Partner of the Year

Hoboken, NJ and New York City, NY (PRWEB) August 07, 2012

eMazzanti Technologies, IT support and computer consultant in the Hoboken, NJ and New York City areas, is named the Northeast Partner of the Year by WatchGuard Technologies, a network security industry leader.

The purpose of the partner recognition program is to showcase outstanding performance, noted Jim Mulholland, Northeast Regional Sales Manager, WatchGuard Technologies. When our partners demonstrate excellence, we know our customers are in good hands.

The WatchGuard Northeast Partner of the Year award is based on three key criteria: customer service, certification and sales.

Anticipation: eMazzantis New Standard in Customer Service

eMazzanti has established a higher level of customer service for WatchGuard customers by solving many problems before the customer is even aware.

eMazzanti leveraged new technology to create a Productivity Monitoring system to precisely track productivity and address many potential IT problems even before they occur. The unique technology continuously monitors 16 key indicators 24×7 and is generated from the companys job ticketing system.

For example, under the customer service area, eMazzanti has real-time monitoring of: customer satisfaction rating trends, open tickets by status, open tickets by tech, open tickets by service type, net change Open/Close ration, tickets resolved by tech, and ticket trends.

For each area monitored, eMazzanti has the results continuously displayed as multiple charts and graphs on three 60 monitors strategically located around the office. In fact, one monitor is placed near the main door so employees can see exactly how the firm is doing with its customers first thing in the morning when they arrive for work and the last thing they as they leave. All employees are also reminded of their personal and team contribution on a daily basis.

In addition, one or more techs are on call all night long to make sure customer networks are up and running, resolving issues before the customer is even aware.

RMA Automation: Building Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty

One of the significant benefits of eMazzanti being one of WatchGuards premier partners is the streamlined Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process. When a piece of WatchGuard gear goes down, customers no longer have to worry about justifying an RMA authorization, scheduling shipments, shipping the item or receiving it back again. All of this is handled directly by eMazzanti. “We inventory a variety of WatchGuard firewalls which we use to immediately replace warranted equipment,” said Mazzanti. “WatchGuard then has automated the RMA process for us so we get rapid replacements, no questions asked all while the customers network is already up that same day. From there we ship the replacement unit from WatchGuard to our office for use in any future outages.”

Certification: Proof of Expertise

Another key ingredient to becoming a regional partner of the year is making sure all engineers and service personnel are property WatchGuard trained and certified. Each of the eMazzanti service team is fully certified to diagnose and repair the depth and breadth of WatchGuards full line of network security solutions. This assures eMazzanti customers the highest level of support.

Three Time Partner of the Year

eMazzanti Technologies has been the WatchGuard Northeast Partner of the Year on three separate occasions.

Its exciting to have partners like eMazzanti aboard, said Mulholland. They have the kind of passion and professionalism that we want our customers to experience. Were very pleased with their dedication and results.

Druva InSync Selected as a Finalist in 2011 Products of the Year Competition by Storage Magazine and SearchStorage.com

Mountain View, Calif. (PRWEB) January 26, 2012

Druva, a pioneer in enterprise endpoint data protection and retrieval, today announced that its inSync Enterprise solution has been named one of seven finalists for the product of the year competition in the Backup and Disaster Recovery Software and Services category by Storage Magazine and SearchStorage.com. This category includes backup and recovery software, cloud backup and recovery services, disaster recovery, snapshot and replication, electronic vaulting and archivers.

“The selection of inSync as a finalist is a tribute to its power and simplicity. Our solution provides secure, non-intrusive backups and saves over 90 percent in bandwidth and storage. We provide enterprises with instant data access for laptops and mobile devices plus integrated data loss protection, said Jaspreet Singh, chairman and CEO of Druva. Were truly honored to have gained such recognition from the storage industrys top product competition.

Druva inSyncs Enterprise solution, introduced on February 2, 2011, is an industry-first application that solves a major – and previously unresolved – challenge: 73 percent of laptop users have cited intrusive backups as a major obstacle to productivity. Druva inSync’s lightweight, source-based application-aware deduplication solves this problem, recognizing the storage habits of individual applications and supporting the most efficient deduplication of their associated files. As a result, a single storage server can back up 10 times as many users as competitive offerings, slash storage expenses by 90 percent and maximize ROI, while providing 100 percent deduplication accuracy for Outlook and Office applications. Druva inSyncs Enterprise software is also optimized for use of SSDs for increased performance and scalability. In addition, inSync enables simple one-click restores of any file or backup volume from a Web browser, iPhone, iPad or Android-based device, offers unobtrusive backups over any network LAN, WAN or VPN and is WAN-optimized for the mobile user.

Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com have chosen 48 enterprise data storage products in six categories as finalists for the 2011 Products of the Year competition. The panel of judges selected these finalists from nearly 200 entries in the six data storage categories: backup and disaster recovery software and services, backup hardware, networking equipment, storage management tools, storage systems, and storage system software.

AppAssure Software, the award-winning #1 backup for virtual, physical and cloud environments, today reported its 19th consecutive record quarter of growth in Q4 2011 and 194% revenue growth in 2011 compared to 2010. Druva Honored as a Silver Winner in 2011 Products of the year Awards by Storage Magazine and SearchStorage.com

Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) February 14, 2012

Druva, a pioneer in enterprise endpoint data protection and retrieval, today announced that its inSync Enterprise solution has been named a Silver winner of the Storage Product of the Year Award in the Backup and Disaster Recovery Software and Services category by Storage Magazine and SearchStorage.com. The winners were selected by the Search Storage magazine-SearchStorage.com editorial staff, in conjunction with a team of users, industry experts, analysts and consultants. Winners were chosen for showing outstanding results in innovation, performance, ease of integration into existing environments, ease of use and manageability, functionality, and value.

In a recent test by Enterprise Strategy Group Lab, Druva inSync achieved 96 percent reduction (a 26-1 ratio) for backup files and demonstrated low resource consumption on the server and client. The SearchStorage judging panel gave Druva inSync Enterprise high marks for addressing the laptop data protection issue effectively. One judge on the panel also remarked that inSync Enterprise is really innovative and solves a major problem.

“Being named a silver winner of the storage industrys top product competition, the Storage Product of the Year, in the Backup and Disaster Recover Software and Services category, is a tremendous honor, said Jaspreet Singh, chairman and CEO of Druva. This award is further validation that we are solving a major challenge enterprises face in protecting data on endpoints. Our inSync solution is protecting over 500,000 endpoints worldwide, providing a solution that is easily managed by IT from a single console and is invisible to the end user. We will continue to develop and bring further innovative solutions as we solve future storage challenges.

Druva inSyncs Enterprise solution, introduced on February 2, 2011, is an industry-first application that solves a major – and previously unresolved – challenge: 73 percent of laptop users have cited intrusive backups as a major obstacle to productivity. Druva inSync’s lightweight, source-based, application-aware deduplication solves this problem, recognizing the storage habits of individual applications and supporting the most efficient deduplication of their associated files.

Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com have chosen 18 enterprise data storage products of the year winners in six categories with gold, silver and bronze ranking for the 2011 Products of the Year competition. The panel of judges selected these winners from nearly 200 entries in the six data storage categories: backup and disaster recovery software and services, backup hardware, networking equipment, storage management tools, storage systems and storage system software.

eMazzanti Technologies Wins 2012 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award

Hoboken, New Jersey and New York City, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2012

Today, eMazzanti Technologies proudly announces winning the 2012 Microsoft Small Business Specialist Partner of the Year Award. The company is honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

This achievement represents our commitment to deliver cutting-edge products and services built on Microsoft technologies, said Jennifer Mazzanti, president, eMazzanti Technologies. With our competency in the newest technologies, our customers get solutions that have dramatic, positive impact on their businesses.

3,000 Entrants Worldwide

Awards are presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of nearly 3,000 entrants worldwide. Microsoft recognizes eMazzanti Technologies ability to provide outstanding solutions and services in the Small Business market space.

The Small Business Specialist Partner of the Year Award honors a partner who used Microsoft technology in innovative ways to deploy integrated solutions that served customers in the small business space. This award is only for partners actively enrolled in the Microsoft Small Business Specialist Community. The winner demonstrated innovative excellence and proficiency in deploying solutions that used the latest Microsoft technology stack scaled for small businesses. Key Microsoft products to be considered were Windows, Office, the Windows Server product family (Windows Server, Windows Small Business Server, and Windows Essential Business Server) including virtualization and management technologies, SQL Server, Exchange Server, and SharePoint Server.

Microsoft is pleased to recognize eMazzanti Technologies as the Microsoft Small Business Specialist Partner of the Year for their proven success in providing technology solutions for small businesses. They have aggressively acquired new capabilities across the Microsoft infrastructure, productivity, and cloud offerings aligned to the evolving needs of the small business customer. The award highlights eMazzanti as a trusted advisor for their small business customers and their commitment to use Microsoft products and cloud offerings to translate customers’ business needs into technology solutions in a cost-effective manner, said Thomas Hansen, vice president, WW SMB, Microsoft Corporation.

The Microsoft Partner Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.

Winning Solution-Professional Services Deployment

Part of the requirement each Microsoft Partner of the Year entrant had to demonstrate was an actual customer deployment so a professional services client was a perfect candidate for a powerful Microsoft solution.

Deployed a Single OS environment

The professional services firm ran on a variety of client operating systems, including several versions of the Windows operating system. On the server side, it ran Red Hat Linux. Maintaining this mixed infrastructure was a challenge. As none of the desktop or laptop computers were locked down, employees could easily go onto the Internet and inadvertently download malicious software that would slow, corrupt, or crash their PCs.

Designed a new IT Infrastructure

eMazzanti played a strategic role in helping this professional services client to design a new IT infrastructure, and then played a tactical role in managing that infrastructure on a daily basis with a fixed fee maintenance and support plan, called eCare Network Management.

Replaced Hard to Maintain Open Source Servers

Central to the overhaul of the companys infrastructure was the replacement of the Red Hat Linux server with Windows Server. The company had been attracted by the Linux no-charge licensing model, but when it came time to reconsider the firms server platform, the firm rejected an expansion of the Linux environment. The move to Windows Server made it possible for the professional services firm to adopt Windows Server Terminal Services, now called Remote Desktop Services. With Remote Desktop Services, the personal computers became thin clients for a centrally run operating environment in which all processing takes place, eliminating most, if not all, of the issues generated by the unlocked PCs.

New Powerful Email Solution

Along with the Windows Server deployment, eMazzanti Technologies helped the professional services firm bring its e-mail system in-house. The hosted UNIX-based e-mail service was replaced with a deployment of Microsoft Exchange Server.

New Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution

The next step was the creation of a backup and disaster-recovery solution. A backup server was installed to which production servers back up files every 15 minutes. The backup server, in turn, sends its files on a continuous basis to an offsite disaster-recovery location. The service-level agreement that the professional services firm has with eMazzanti promises that a failed server will be brought back to production status within predetermined time with the eMazzanti eCare Business Continuity platform.

On the desktop side, eMazzanti Technologies upgraded the computers for this professional services firm to the latest Windows platform. Firm members are taking advantage of the new operating systems intuitive navigation, enhanced power management features, and new document management capabilities.

Simple Cloud Network Management

Managing the entire network is streamlined with the use of Microsofts Cloud online services like InTune. In this offering through a single web-based console, all of the network PC assets can be managed, maintained and securedfrom virtually anywhere.

Overall, eMazzanti deployed a new operating system, Office suite and several different servers to:
