GL conveys the availability of its Product PacketH323 H.323 Single Call Simulator

Gaithersburg, Maryland (PRWEB) May 10, 2012

GL Communications Inc. a leader in providing PC-based test, analysis and simulation products and consulting services to the worldwide telecommunications industry, conveyed today the availability of its product PacketH323 H.323 Single Call Generator Software.

Speaking to media persons, Mr. Jagdish Vadalia Senior Manager said, Voice transmission over packet networks continue to present challenging quality of service issues – including echo, delay, voice clipping, and impairments due to lost or jittered packets. These problems are exacerbated even further during high degrees of voice compression. Adequate tools for generating characterizing and measuring impairments are not readily available. GL’s PacketH323 fills this void with a set of tools for simulating H.323 calls and generating real-time traffic on VoIP networks.

He added, PacketH323 is a PC-based real-time VoIP call generator for providing voice band testing over the H.323 VoIP Protocol. It can generate single calls, either manually or in an automated fashion, and generate an array of traffic once the call session is established. Call Records, Call Statistics, Protocol Events are all captured and displayed to the user in real time.

Mr.Vadalia further added, PacketH323 is fully Client/Server enabled, thus, the user can control it from a remote location either within a Client GUI or a Client Command Line (supports scripting applications). An optional hardware RTP can support real-time voice calls from analog phones, or fax calls from fax machines.

TURCK Rotary Single Axis CANopen Inclinometer Delivers 360 Degree Angle Monitoring

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) June 22, 2012

TURCK introduces the new rotary single axis inclinometer, expanding its dual axis CANopen inclinometer offering for angular tilt detection. With a monitoring range of 360 degrees, the single axis inclinometer provides extended application flexibility, allowing operators to easily monitor mechanical arms, such as tensioners or moving components. Its CANopen communications also makes it ideally suited for mobile equipment, such as monitoring and reporting position of outriggers, booms or other vertically rotating parts.

The single axis inclinometer measures angular tilt in reference to gravity. At the heart of the TURCK inclinometer are MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical system) devices that incorporate micro-electromechanical capacitive elements into the sensor that utilize two parallel plate electrodes, one stationary and one attached to a spring-mass system. Movement causes acceleration that produces deflection in the non-stationary electrodes. This results in a measurable change in the capacitance between the two plates that is proportional to the angle of deflection. All measured values and parameters are accessible via the object directory. The micro board design in the MEMS technology allows for a compact, precise inclinometer in a very robust, industrialized package.

Employing technology from our proven dual axis inclinometer, which monitors angles of up to 85 degrees in either the x or y axis, the single axis inclinometer extends the sensing capabilities to complete up to 360 degree rotational monitoring, said Marty Cwach, Product Manager at TURCK. Now, our customers can satisfy virtually any application requiring 360 monitoring.

TURCK single axis inclinometers offer rugged, IP68-rated housing and reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -40 to +70

First-ever ANT single chip solution combines cost, power and size efficiencies with ecosystem of proven devices

Cochrane, Alberta (PRWEB) June 28, 2012

ANT Wireless (“ANT” http://www.thisisant.com), a division of Dynastream Innovations Inc., today announces the first-ever ANT SoC (system on a chip); successor to Nordics ANT nRF24AP2 family, the Nordic nRF51422. Designed specifically to optimize ultra low power network solutions such as sport, fitness and health monitoring devices, this new single chip solution is also backward compatible with millions of existing ANT and ANT+ products. The ANT SoC lowers system development costs with further ease of integration and savings in power and BOM costs than the already-proven Nordic ANT products.

The latest part in the ANT family from Nordic will enable the long standing goal of single chip RF sensor devices, which is a huge milestone, stated Rod Morris, Vice President, Dynastream. Theres nothing like it in the market and ANT presents a distinct advantage with proven ANT+ profiles and immediate connection to the great variety of available ANT+ devices.

With the increase in user acceptance in our everyday lives, complex and intertwined applications of wireless sensors and networks are being defined. These use cases often require secure individual and conference modes of communication with sensors, a function easily supported by ANT+ but not by other star-only network technologies. Certain examples include coaching applications, individual medical data sharing to multiple displays, point of purchase, one-to-many broadcast modes, etc.

ANT entered the ULP wireless sector in 2005 and has continually led in lowest power, complex functionality and reliable interoperability through ANT+, becoming the defacto standard for digital wireless sport and fitness PAN networks.

Were proud of our long-standing relationship with ANT and the game-changing products we continually offer the industry, stated Geir Langeland, Director of Sales & Marketing, Nordic Semiconductor. Since partnering with ANT in 2005, weve virtually created the PAN market. Weve focused on the needs of the market and collaborated with ANT and leading brands to provide the right solutions at the right time.

Out of the box, the nrf51422 SoC can offer quick time to market for:

GL Announces Single and Bulk Fax Simulation Over T1 E1 FXO FXS Lines

Gaithersburg, Maryland, (PRWEB) November 15, 2012

GL Communications Inc. announced today the release of its latest Single & Bulk Fax Simulation Over T1 E1 FXO FXS Lines.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Jagdish Vadalia, Senior Manager for Product Development of the company said, Ordinary telephone lines can be used for voice, data (modem), and for fax. Believe it or not fax is still very popular. No business can be without a fax machine and some businesses, like banks, rely heavily on fax transmission for transactions involving money because faxes are considered legal documents.

He added, GL has recently introduced Single and Bulk Call Fax Simulator. This software is capable of transmitting and receiving over many T1 E1 timeslots or through two-wire FXO and FXS lines. The software can emulate many virtual fax machines – Transmitter as well as Receiver. All variations are supported. Fax Simulator can be used with any GL Protocol Emulation tools such as MAPS CAS Simulator, MAPS ISDN Simulator, and MAPS SS7 Simulator to simulate complete real time Fax calls.

Mr. Vadalia added, Using GL’s versatile hardware product line, various fax testing scenarios can be simulated: Bulk Fax tesing over many T1 E1 lines (100′s of timeslots) with our Octal T1 E1 Cards, or single FXO and FXS lines on our versatile tProbe platform, or hundreds of FXO FXS lines with our High Capacity Analog 2-Wire platform.

Fax Emulation Applications

Typical applications of our Fax Emulation software are load testing of fax servers, qualification testing of T.38 Gateways, testing of ATAs (Analog Terminal Adapters), testing of fax machines, and many more. Features and applications are:

Load Testing sending or receiving up to hundreds of faxes simultaneously; one end can send and receive simultaneously on different timeslots; over many T1 E1 lines; over many FXO or FXS lines; any signaling protocol can be used such as PRI ISDN, SS7, or CAS
V.34 Testing there are many fax modulations and V.34 is the fastest, permitting many pages to be transmitted quickly
High Speed / Low Speed fax protocol consists of low speed handshaking and high speed image transmission
Multiple Pages single or multiple page fax transmission is supported
With or without ECM Error Correction Mode permits the retransmission of erred pages.
