Torbit Launches Torbit Insight to Quantify Value of Speed for Your Website

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) April 25, 2012

Torbit launches Torbit Insight, a Real User Measurement tool. Torbit Insight lets businesses see actual loading times for every visitor to their site. Torbit Insight also lets businesses see correlation between website speed and core business metrics like bounce rate and conversion rate.

Torbit Insight is a new service that allows anyone to see how fast their website is loading using real user measurement. The longer a website takes to load, the more people are going to abandon the site. Using data that has only recently become available in browsers, Insight allows any online business to drill down and see exactly where their website is slow and why.

This is a great tool for those already monitoring their sites speed but want more accurate data, as well as those measuring their site performance for the very first time. Torbit Insight is already being used by dozens of top sites, including Wayfair, BlogTalkRadio, Storenvy and the Cheezburger Network.

Torbit Insight features:

Real time data reporting and live map view
Histogram of user load times including key metrics like median and top percentiles
Performance metrics on best and worst performing pages with customized suggestions on how to make them faster
See how performance varies across different browsers and geographies
Correlate website speed to core business metrics like bounce rate, conversion rate and revenue

In addition to Insight, Torbit is launching a brand new website at http://torbit.com which allows self-serve access to Insight. Website owners can use Insight for free and then upgrade to paid plans for access to additional features.

Torbit is a performance company that focuses on the front-end of websites where 80-90% of performance issues are on most websites. Torbits other product, Site Optimizer, offers Dynamic Content Optimization (DCO) to automate the front-end optimizations that make websites fast. Site Optimizer can typically double the speed of a site. Torbit was founded in 2010 by Josh Fraser and Jon Fox.

New Mobile Features for Cilio Partners Portal Allow for Better Speed and More Control Over Installed Sales

(PRWEB) July 17, 2012

Cilio Technologies, LLC, the leading specialist in automated order distribution and management of installed sales for the building materials industry, today announced new and sophisticated mobile features for the Cilio Partners Portal, a web-based platform for retail home improvement stores and manufacturers.

The Cilio Partners Portal is the first SaaS (software as a service) offering for home and building materials manufacturers and retailers that allows them to distribute and manage their orders for installed sales products (such as counter tops, cabinets, windows, doors, flooring and others) across complex vendor networks. The new features for the Cilio Partners Portal allow viewing and searching projects and orders, adding field notes, approving project line items and releasing orders for payment all from a mobile device.

According to Forrester Research, between 2008 and 2011 the percentage of daily mobile Internet users increased to 26 percent from 4 percent, far outpacing the growth of internet access from a desktop. At this pace, mobile was the next obvious phase for the Cilio Partners Portal, especially for an industry that requires most of its people to be off site and in the field.

The benefits are numerous, but the most important is the capacity for manufacturers, installers, fabricators and retail partners to better communicate throughout the installed sales process leading to faster and smoother project completion and improved margins on product sales and installation. For example, an installer can now template, schedule and monitor installations and product deliveries while at the job site from a mobile device.

The ability to arm mobile devices with the industry-leading features of the Cilio Partners Portal is an exciting and necessary benefit to our customers, stated Randy Olejnik, president of Cilio Technologies. Our customers spend much of their time in the field and away from a desk. It was critical for us to meet their mobile needs in the most advanced way possible. Now they can manage most of the installed sales project and order process from their handheld device.

Improved mobile features for the Cilio Partners Portal include:

Viewing orders and projects
Searching orders and projects
Viewing and adding order notes
Releasing orders for payment
Customizing the login page
Approving and denying project line items

GL Conveys Its Expertise in Testing High Speed Telecom Lines Prior to Turn Up

Gaithersburg, MD (PRWEB) August 11, 2012

GL Communications Inc. a leader in providing PC-based test, analysis and simulation products and consulting services to the worldwide telecommunications industry, conveyed today its expertise in Testing and Verification of High Speed Telecom Lines before they start carrying commercial live traffic.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni, CEO of the company said, These days telecom networks support a number of applications, including voice, data, and video. The underlying technology may be different – such as TDM, ATM, IP, even Wireless. The physical network can be copper, radio/microwave, optical fiber, or satellite. Service providers must thoroughly evaluate their networks to ensure that their availability meets customer expectations. Such an evaluation would often include testing the networks under normal operating conditions as well as testing beyond normal operational environment, often to a breaking point or close to it, called stress testing. Most operators would prefer to stress test their networks and observe their performance to have a level of confidence before putting through commercial traffic.

He added, GL has expertise to test a domestic long distance carrier lines prior to turn up. We develop a test plan covering throughput testing, continuity testing, and stress testing. Our engineers programme test equipment to generate traffic with varying packet sizes and inter-packet gaps. Sending smaller packets with minimal gaps stresses network elements that switch packets and also tests any latency issues. Longer packets, scrambling, and octet stuffing and de-stuffing were also tested. An ideal way to generate the maximum stress on circuits under test is to transmit an IP packet, which has both a random packet size and gap. Internet traffic may, typically, transmit any of the definable packet sizes and gaps. However, in practice, it is more common to see fewer variations in the packet size as more packets are transmitted. GL’s test plans provide a packet stream that closely approximate real life traffic distribution as well as extreme ranges.

Mr. Kulkarni further added, Designing and conducting stress tests are specialty areas that are best handled by experts. Our engineers have extensive experience to perform the entire gamut of testing including – design test plans, write test procedures, conduct tests, and document test results. With extensive experience in telecom testing, GL offers a comprehensive suite of testing services to evaluate complex telecom networks. These services are intended to insure that the performance and reliability of networks are completely understood prior to decisions to start carrying live traffic.

About GL Communications Inc.,

Founded in 1986, GL Communications Inc. Provides technical consulting, engineering and testing services in wireless, telecom, and IT disciplines. Our customers include telecom wireless and landline carriers, mass transit and public safety systems nationwide. We have designed hundreds of wired and wireless telecom network systems over the past 23 years.

Network Cabling Installation ? For Efficient And High Speed Data Transfer

In the highly competitive world of today, efficient and reliable networking solutions play a vital role in the survival and growth of every business. With the increasing demand for fast internet connections, using cabling systems that can fulfill the requirements of speed and requirement is also on the rise. That is why a majority of entrepreneurs use Network cabling installation services not only for secure everyday intra-office communication but also to safely transfer information and data between terminals. Such cabling installation ensures that the customers are able to achieve absolute resolution along with the facility of 24/7 support services.

In order to attain the highest levels of efficiency and performance, networking cabling installation needs to be conducted as per specific standards. This not only minimizes the risk of data loss but also ensures that the performance and efficiency of the network is as per the specific requirements of the organization in question. Depending on the usage, cabling requirements and the type of data to be transferred, cabling installation service providers use specific types of cables, switches, routers and other related accessories. Use of mismatched equipments and accessories that cannot be integrated with each other can greatly affect the overall performance and dependability of the network.

One of the most important benefits of networking cabling installation is that this system offers great flexibility in terms of expansion of the network as well as adapting new technologies. However, at the same time the maintenance cost of such a network might be quite high.

As such it is vital to choose an installation service provider that has sufficient experience in the field so that the scope of error can be minimized besides ensuring that the services offered are reasonably priced. With the growing number of companies offering such services, it is really not difficult to find one that would suit the specific requirements and budget of individual companies, although a bit of research might be needed for the same.
