Australian Based Backup Provider Uses ROBOBAK to Keep Data Safe from Mother Earth

Joondalup, Australia (Vocus/PRWEB) March 17, 2011

Corporate Backup, an Australian based offsite backup provider, today announced that it has successfully been using the ROBOBAK data protection suite to protect businesses and home user data from computer crashes, viruses, theft and more recently from a string of violent natural disasters for the past three years.

Corporate Backup offers users peace of mind in todays volatile environment by securely safeguarding multiple copies of their data in the cloud. From surging and deadly floods in Brisbane to raging wildfires in Perth, the country of Australia and its local citizens have taken a violent beating from Mother Earth.

We used to ask our clients to back up their data on tape, then move it offsite. We found that the rate of getting them to actually do it was abysmal, said Kevin. And most of our clients arent large enough to justify having a service come by to pick up their tapes. Even if they were, sending the tapes off to a secret location somewhere means losing their data for at least a day, if not more. He added.

Kevin anticipates that it will quadruple its data protection business over the next 18 months, and predicts country-wide growth through a wholesale arm tailored primarily to IT consultants and corporate businesses. ROBOBAK is a hands-free, set it and forget it solution, Kevin said. And as we grow, I know it will scale without requiring us to add additional hardware, or disrupt our service to our customers. We couldnt offer this service to our customers if we needed to do the usual hand-holding required by other software products.

CloudCentral Secures First Contract for Australian Government (AGIMO) Data Center as a Service (DCaaS) Multi Use List (MUL)

Canberra, Australia (PRWEB) November 16, 2012

CloudCentral, a leading provider of Australasian cloud services today announced it has secured its first contract since being included in the recently released Australian Government Information Management Office Data Center as a Service Multi Use List (AGIMO DCaaS MUL) and Service Catalogue.

CloudCentral will be providing managed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) to an Australian Government agency to support service delivery of a new content management and delivery system. Under the terms of the agreement, CloudCentral will provide managed services including enterprise server management, monitoring, security and data backup . Services will be provided from CloudCentrals Canberra, Australia based data centres including NextDC C1 and TransACT.

The CloudCentral system provides customers with scalable on-demand access to computing, storage and network resources that can be scaled up and down in accordance with demand. Customers can deploy and manage their resources via a web user interface and integrate their systems via a Application Programming Interface (HTTP REST API).

Being awarded a Government contract in less than a month of CloudCentral joining the AGIMO DCaaS MUL is great news and validates our ability to deliver innovative and robust Pay-as-you-Grow (PAYG) cloud services to Australian Enterprise and Government customers. said Kristoffer Sheather, CEO, CloudCentral.

Our well established service delivery approach contrasts with that of foreign cloud providers as services will be delivered from two Australian located data centers, providing our customer with a high level of assurance around data sovereignty and security. Similarly, CloudCentral delivers all customer service and support via locally based support engineers providing customers with a local throat to choke, continued Sheather.

Established in October 2012, the DCaaS MUL provides a service catalogue of pre-approved cloud service offerings to enable Australian Government departments and agencies to efficiently procure cloud services with a contract value of up to $ 80,000 for terms of 12 months or less.

CloudCentrals listing comprises 17 different services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS).
