CAPS and eGlobal Insight Form Partnership Delivering Advanced Failover and Notification Communications System

Shelton, CT and Smyrna, GA (PRWEB) November 12, 2009

Computer Alternative Processing Sites (CAPS), Inc. and eGlobal Insight, Inc. today announced a partnership to offer the market’s fastest highly advanced failover and notification communication telecom system to SMB and enterprise clients. The system includes complete modular and multi-functional voice and data capabilities, which solve a myriad of business, disaster recovery, business continuity, emergency management and compliance needs. The feature-rich system fits within any industry sector, such as institutional and private health care, banking, financial services, insurance, government, security, academic institutions, etc.

Under the agreement’s terms, eGlobal Insight’s system becomes part of the CAPS Total IT Solutions products and services roster, expands its business footprint into the IT infrastructure data center space and selects CAPS as its data center disaster recovery site provider. CAPS and eGlobal Insight jointly will market and offer the system immediately to its clients.

The CAPS and eGlobal Insight (eGI) relationship will give clients market leverage and the fastest setup time under any emergency.

They will gain a strategic advantage through the immediate enactment of disaster recovery plan features – work area recovery facilities, full workstation (http://www.capsbrs.com/workarea.php) capabilities, IT infrastructure services and failover and notification communication systems – integrated and implemented under one roof. Operations and work schedules continue in a safe, secure redundant environment. All carrier relationships stay the same; there is overall cost-effectiveness and eligibility for Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) reimbursement.

The powerful eGI message notification component meets best-of-breed performance levels with a robust telecom system that works in unison with legacy systems and equals or exceeds existing performance levels. System controls, locations, selection of features and on-the-spot change/modification capabilities are in the client’s hands.

Features and functionality includes primary, secondary and satellite switching, voice-fax-data content and email capabilities, emergency or telecommuting notification applications, instant automatic and toll-free reroute, D.I.D. capture, hosted call controller, boomerang conferencing, find me/follow me notification, conferencing, polling, UCD & hunt overflow and a 7/24 toll-free emergency support hotline.

“With this partnership we will offer our clients an outstanding system that incorporates all the functionality needed in times of crisis, from housing personnel in our workstation area to connectivity into their intellectual assets, in a fast and seamless move,” said Peter J. Messina, senior vice president and chief operating officer of CAPS. “The eGI system delivers exceptional client performance and ROI levels.”

“We are extremely pleased to add the services from CAPS to the eGI FailSafe voice recovery system and our AlwaysConnected satellite voice and data emergency network,” said Charles F. Turcan, president and CEO of eGlobal Insight. “An Emergency Communications Plan must be part of your business continuity plan. (http://www.eglobalinsight.com/InsightHealthCareSolutions.htm) However, it is impossible to predict the circumstances that will test your plan. The only way, to ensure that your voice and data networks are adequately backed up, is to have a resilient system that is always on and ready to respond to any emergency. And now with CAPS we can extend that coverage to a Hot Site capability preconfigured for phone and computer workstations and emergency data backup.”

CAPS SAS 70 Type II facilities (http://www.capsbrs.com/sites.php) in Shelton, Connecticut serve the Boston-New York Northeast business corridor, and a 56,000 square-foot metropolitan Atlanta facility serves Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Forrester Research named CAPS a “strong performer” in the Fixed-Site Disaster Recovery Service Providers category in its Q1 2008 Wave Report. According to the report, “CAPS can offer high-performance solutions in its region and boasts very high customer satisfaction levels.”

Saddleback Geosolutions LLC Deploys the Attribute::Workbench(TM) Delivering Host of New Seismically Derived Attributes

(PRWEB) October 30, 2012

Saddleback utilized the INTViewerTM platform to develop and deploy its Attribute::Workbench: a host of new seismically derived attributes, meta-attributes that correspond to the morphology and ontology of the basic forms of the attributes, spectral decomposition tools, seismic inversion, and other tools that are used to examine the tie between rock physics and attributes through synthetic seismograms (allowing better reservoir property delineation), and through geostatistics (allowing for better validation at well locations).

Saddleback successfully deployed their new Attribute::Workbench in a fraction of the time it would have taken to create a new system from scratch because they were able to take advantage of the application infrastructure provided by INTViewer and focus their resources on the development of advanced algorithms and tools.

Saddleback wanted to provide geoscientists with a multi-platform based solution for solving difficult exploration and exploitation problems that could be characterized by modeling, petrophysical analyses, rock-physics and seismic studies. Thus, Saddleback needed to provide best-in-class algorithms along with new ways to integrate R&D tools, processing flows, and automation while retaining the ability for customers to customize Saddlebacks tools and workflows for their diverse needs.

Saddleback knew that their unique advantage lies in the originality of their science and the quality of their results. Therefore, they did not want to spend unnecessary effort and capital re-inventing what others had done before, and searched for a fully supported, industry-accepted data visualization platform that allows rapid deployment of new ideas and workflows.

Designed for exploration geoscientists, INTViewerTM is powerful, yet easy to learn, and allows users to easily visualize complex data and attributes to discover patterns or trends. INTViewer TM presents users with sophisticated controls in an intuitive and logical manner that requires minimal user training.
