Risk Management Decision Saves Health Council from Critical Loss

Columbia, SC (Vocus/PRWEB) February 15, 2011

Unitrends, the leading provider in integrated and scalable backup solutions, today announced that NE Missouri Health Council relied on Unitrends Recovery appliance to gain full recovery of its crashed system, retrieving 100 percent of the health councils mission-critical data.

After opting out of CommVault due to reliability issues and high pricing, NMHC discovered Unitrends as a trusted solution for all-in-one backup, archiving and disaster recovery. NMHCs investment in Unitrends resulted in high returns for the non-profit health care provider.

John Brown, IT director for NMHC, had performed a live migration on the facilitys Windows servers, and during the process, an error caused all data to be entirely erased.

I contacted Unitrends at 11:30 at night. Within 10 minutes, I had a phone call from a support rep-resentative, and we were able to restore all pertinent data that was lost, Brown said.

Most of the information that went to the file servers was patient charts. Had Unitrends not been deployed, NMHC could have been at great risk of losing vital patient records and hindering day-to-day operations.

Unitrends was definitely there, definitely on my side and was dili

ClearDATA EMR Cloud Hosting Service Saves Advanced Arthritis Care Practice Over $30k in Server & Support Costs

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

ClearDATA Networks, Inc., the leading healthcare cloud computing platform and service provider, today announced that Advanced Arthritis Care and Research (AACR), a Medical Group Practice located in Scottsdale, AZ is hosting its EMR software on the ClearDATA Private Cloud at the companys datacenter. AACR needed to upgrade its EMR software to be compatible with a new billing system, but the upgrade would have taken 2.5 months and required a new server for more than $ 30,000, plus monthly support and maintenance fees. After researching its options, AACR decided to have both its EMR and billing software hosted at the ClearDATA data center, which took less than one week for the entire implementation to be up and running efficiently.

Private cloud hosting of EMR software is one of the fastest growing trends in healthcare due to the significant costs associated with increased server and storage requirements, along with monthly maintenance and support fees. ClearDATA is targeting its secure, HIPAAcompliant EMR Cloud Hosting Service to small-to-large healthcare practices across the country and has performed successful implementations with software from most of the major EMR vendors.

EMR Cloud Hosting is an area of tremendous growth for ClearDATA, said David Bean, executive vice president of sales and marketing, ClearDATA Networks, Inc. Healthcare providers are increasingly moving their EMR and EHR software to the cloud because of the significant savings in hardware expenses and support, eliminating the need for multiple servers and substantial storage. And due to increased market demand, EMR software companies are partnering with us to cloud enable their software as well as hosting their EMR solutions on our ClearDATA Cloud Computing Platform.

After multiple phone calls with ClearDATA over the course of several days and even visiting their data center, I felt very confident in going with a cloud hosted solution, said Liza Altman, administrator and office manager for Advanced Arthritis Care and Research. I actually feel more secure with their hosted solution than having the data in our office. Also, we were pleasantly surprised that our performance running GE Centricity is much faster now through the cloud than it was on our local server, and the system has never been down.

Hometown Technology Hero Saves Business Data and Keeps it Green

Bakersfield, CA (PRWEB) August 20, 2012

The latest BDR innovation from ARRC allows businesses to back up important business data to separate offsite, secure data storage facilities as well as use servers the company may already own. Recycling existing hardware can save businesses thousands of dollars while still securing their data and saves the environment from additional electronic waste.

ARRCs BDR Solution ensures the maximum uptime and continuity of end users’ business-critical infrastructures through real-time onsite data protection and fortified offsite backups. And, it works on hardware from providers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo and others, so businesses benefit by utilizing hardware they may already own. ARRC also monitors the successful back up of each BDR installed at a business location through a specially designed portal also invented by the company. This confirms the business data is being backed up successfully each day, sometimes every 15 minutes.

The original purpose of the BDR was to provide existing hardware a second life to reduce the costs for businesses implementing a backup solution. The side effect was also an immediate reduction in electronic waste and a better impact on the environment. The solution has since been embraced by ARRCs sister company, CharTec, a national technology training and product company. The BDR solution is now deployed and accessible worldwide into countries such as Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

We developed the BDR solution based on our own experiences as a technology provider, said Alex Rogers, ARRCs CEO. We recognized how painful associated costs such as hardware, licensing, and support while performing back up requirements for our own clients, especially in this economic time. So, we built our own appliance that saves businesses the cost of replacing hardware and purchasing new licensing. It was then that we realized we were also reducing the carbon footprint of many organizations throughout the world by reducing e-waste and giving this hardware a second chance.

ARRC estimates it has saved thousands of servers from hitting the dumpsters and landfills in 2012 alone, as well as improving business continuity and backing up important business data.

Cyaras Automated Testing Suite Reduces Call Center Technology Deployment Risk, Saves Project at Global, U.S.-Based Financial Institution

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 16, 2012

Cyara today announced the publishing of their latest customer success story detailing how automated testing saved a 2012 technology upgrade deployment at a global financial institution based in the U.S. Cyara is a pioneer of next-generation premise and cloud solutions for testing, monitoring and simulation of interactive voice response (IVRs) and contact center systems and applications.

This case study documents in great detail the reality of what can go wrong and does in many deployments with so many moving parts, as is the case in complex contact center infrastructure and application deployments, says Alok Kulkarni, CEO, Cyara.

One of the many Cyara benefits cited by the customer in the interview was the ability to eliminate vendor misunderstandings, which can be crucial to the success of complex deployments.

The value of the Cyara tools went way beyond basic IVR verification, says the senior technical project manager, allowing the organization to quantify errors found in the IVR, including call recordings that could be provided to the vendor to help them in cleaning up the IVR code and functions that were found to be missing. The vendor discussions were far more succinct and removed any possibility of misunderstanding, she says.

We know what Cyaras automated testing suite can do for our customers, he says, but were delighted to see the customer and in particular, the project manager, come up with some unintended use cases for how Cyara could and did help make the project a success, says Kulkarni.

The case study, while extremely detailed with a narrative driven by direct customer quotes, does not mention the company by name. Our customer is extremely happy with the deployment, but has a policy of not officially endorsing vendors publicly, says Kulkarni. However, they allowed us to interview the senior technical project manager to document in detail the deployment and how automated testing played a critical role in the success of their contact center and IVR technology upgrade. says Kulkarni.

Our customers are committed to staying ahead of potential points of failure and rectifying them before customer experience is impacted. This customers experience with our suite in their technology upgrade is another proof point in Cyaras commitment to deliver a cost-effective, time saving suite of automated solutions customers themselves can use to ensure they deliver intended customer experience, says Kulkarni.

Highlights of the Case Study Include:

– Control, collaboration, flexible testing instills customer confidence
