Morey Corporation Improves Customer Service and Reduces File Storage Requirements by 51.8 Percent with Digitilitis Information Management Software

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 18, 2012

Digitiliti, Inc. (DIGI.PK), a technology pioneer in unstructured information management, cloud data storage and archiving, today announced that Morey Corporation (MOREY), a world leader in electronic design, engineering, and manufacturing, has implemented Digitilitis digiLIBE and digiBAK software. The company uses the software to control, manage, store, and archive its enterprise data storage and information management systems and has already experienced a reduction in its file storage requirements by 51.8 percent, while enhancing its business processes and performance through improved customer service and restructured data storage.

We now have full control of and instant access to our enterprise file structure in realtime, including both our structured and unstructured file systems throughout the entire information management life cycle, according to Pablo Mesa, director of information technology at Morey Corporation. MOREY uses digiLIBEs eSearch capabilities, which allow users to instantly find and retrieve customer project files and engineering design information so they can respond to customer requests and streamline the project management process.

The 2011 deployment of Digitilitis digiLIBE, implemented together with its digiBAK backup and recovery platform, now gives MOREY quick access to and recovery of all its structured and unstructured data across the enterprisefrom file creation to the file archiving stage of the data storage life cycle. With this full implementation of Digitilitis platform, weve gone from needing hours to search and restore files to our tape library and offsite tape storage to now having the ability to search and restore files in minutes stored in either our datacenter or archived on Digitilitis digiBAK Hybrid Cloud Archiving System, said Mesa. The ability to consistently and reliably find, and if needed, restore files to our users in minutes, not only reduces our information management costs, but provides a significantly enhanced level of service to our users at Morey and to our customers who count on us for world-class engineering and design services, explains Mesa.

The Digitiliti Information Management System uses patent-pending technology for storing and accessing the diverse and massive amounts of unstructured data residing in content located everywhere in an organization. Its unique architecture allows MOREY employees to instantly find and retrieve what they needwith a single unified interface and without having to know where the content resides.

Weve engineered our file management software to be for any sized company and to be about simplicity, robustness, and solving the challenges around unstructured data and complex data storage systems, said Digitiliti President and CEO David Macey. The implementation by Morey is an excellent example of how our customers use our software to get huge tangible benefits.

Atlanta Humane Society Gains Flexibility and Improves Collaboration with ProviDyn"s Private Cloud Services

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 29, 2012

ProviDyn, a provider of IT support, managed and cloud services for small and medium-sized businesses, announced today that its client, the Atlanta Humane Society, has decided to move its existing managed services to ProviDyns private cloud. This builds on ProviDyns existing partnership with the Atlanta Humane Society which included managed services, application and IP telephony support, as well as vendor management for both Atlanta Humane Society locations.

The Atlanta Humane Society, Atlantas oldest private non-profit animal welfare organization, expanded its reach in December 2011 by opening a second location. After consulting with ProviDyn, the Atlanta Humane Society decided centralizing its technology infrastructure and applications would provide increased capabilities and the advantage of unified communication between facilities. As a result, employees and executives are able to seamlessly collaborate across locations, accessing systems and maintaining capabilities from any Atlanta Humane Society facility.

ProviDyn has been an extension of our team and an invaluable partner in helping manage the technology needs for our business, said Chris Slee, Vice President of Finance for Atlanta Humane Society. After opening our second location, ProviDyn made the recommendation that a private cloud would give us more flexibility and enhance collaboration across the organization.

This is a wonderful opportunity to continue supporting the Atlanta Humane Society in its mission to prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty and exploitation of animals, said Hamish Davidson, president and co-founder of ProviDyn. As with many other non-profit organizations, the Atlanta Humane Society is extremely budget conscious. Being receptive to new solutions such as a private cloud, can bring tremendous benefits, including reliability and enhanced security, at a reasonable cost.

New Release of Emerson Network Powers Avocent

Huntsville, Alabama (PRWEB) September 10, 2012

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, today introduced a new release of the Avocent HMX High Performance KVM switch with features that significantly enhance its functionality and usability.

The Avocent HMX High Performance KVM switch is the market-leading IP matrix KVM switch for the last five years. It provides users with the ability to quickly access remote high-performance work stations or computing equipment with the same user experience they would have if they were connected directly to the equipment in the same room. It allows sites to share expensive specialized equipment between users as needed without having to move the user or the equipment.

The new release enhances the Avocent HMX platform with its complex switching capability, improved switching time and validated security features. Avocent HMX now allows multiple receivers and transmitters to be grouped to facilitate complex switching, such as grouping four or more monitors, or controlling a video wall or ceiling mounted projector remotely. And, with a 60 percent switch-time improvement, switching is now even faster, which significantly improves usability. In addition, the new release enables users to switch quickly between multiple computers with different functionality and security classification levels in a secure and reliable manner. This greatly enhances KVM applications in industries that require the most advanced technologies to ensure information security.

The new release is available as a free firmware upgrade for existing customers with compatible Avocent HMX Managers.

Avocent invented the KVM over IP switch market, and has been awarded more than 158 U.S. patents covering KVM and video compression technologies, said Steve Hassell, president of the Avocent business of Emerson Network Power. The newly released Avocent HMX High Performance KVM switch demonstrates our continuing investment and innovation in KVM, and is the result of ongoing research and development and listening to our customers.

ProviDyn"s Private Cloud Improves Collaboration, Drives Efficiency for The Connell Group

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 28, 2012

ProviDyn, a provider of IT support, strategy and services for small and medium-sized businesses, announced today that The Connell Group has decided to extend its existing managed services contract by migrating to ProviDyns private cloud. Based in New Jersey, The Connell Group is a market research consultancy that provides strategic research and marketing consulting services to a host of industries including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, retail and electronics.

Since 2008, The Connell Group has relied on ProviDyn to meet its day-to-day IT services and support needs. However, with employees spanning multiples states, ProviDyn recommended the firm migrate to the private cloud for increased efficiency and a more cohesive workforce. Leveraging ProviDyns private cloud will give the firm access to updated technology and allow employees to more easily collaborate as if they were in the same office, when actually they operate from disparate locations across the U.S.

Weve had a successful, long-standing partnership with ProviDyn, said Sean Connell, founder of The Connell Group. Their strategic recommendation to consider a private cloud was something we could trust, knowing that it will scale to meet our current and future technology needs, increase efficiency and make collaboration among our employees seamless.

With a widely dispersed workforce, ProviDyns private cloud was an ideal match for The Connell Group, said Hamish Davidson, president and co-founder of ProviDyn. Small and medium-sized businesses often find and employ talent from multiple geographic locations but still need to run smoothly and present a unified front. Having the ability to collaborate, share information and access technology among employees by utilizing the cloud, makes benefiting from the best talent, even if it is remote, possible.
