Fastrack Announces Major Expansion

Plainview, NY (Vocus) December 10, 2009

Fastrack Healthcare Systems announced today the completion of the first phase of its expansion plans in order to meet on-going demand for the companys products and services. The first phase included adding additional staff in key areas and in-house technology primarily for their Internet Hosted Solution.

According to Spencer Kay, President of Fastrack, We have added staff in customer service, quality assurance and technical support as a result of the large increase in new clients in 2009. In anticipation of our continued growth in 2010 we will be adding additional development programmers, trainers, implementation specialists and sales staff.

Kay went on to add, We have seen growth in terms of the number of new clients but as well a significant number of our existing accounts have grown substantially through natural growth, the acquisition of other providers or by absorbing the patient base of those providers that have shut down. The growth in their business has resulted in a greater need for Fastrack products and services. This has resulted in a higher demand for our consulting and custom programming services as well as on-site training and our Internet based training classes.

On the products side the company has increased their research and development budget. In early 2010 Fastrack will be releasing additional functionality to their Workflow Manager designed to enhance employee productivity, the ability to process FSA debit cards within the Integrated Credit Card processing feature and additional capabilities in their Business Intelligence tool.

The company announced that a major focus will continue to be implementing new ways to assist its clients in reducing operating costs, improving cash flow by reducing their DSO and helping with Competitive Bidding. In late November, Fastrack was the first software company to introduce logic in the system to handle issues related to PECOS.

Fastrack has also announced a significant investment was made in their internal infrastructure which will continue in 2010. Included is advanced new computer systems and emergency back-up systems to support the companys large base of hosted (commonly referred to as SaaS) clients. These clients access the Fastrack Application and their database through a secure Internet connection 24×7 eliminating the costs associated with server hardware and software, back-ups, disaster recovery, implementing upgrades and hardware maintenance.

Independent Research Firm Unveils New Study that Identifies Data Center-to-Data Center WAN Connectivity as a Major Impediment for Big Data Deployments

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) December 13, 2011

Infineta Systems, the first and only provider of WAN optimization systems for Big Traffic workflows, today released the findings of a new research report that examines the intersection of Big Data and the enterprise WAN. Conducted by Infineta in collaboration with Internet Research Group (IRG), an independent analysis and research firm, the report looks in-depth at large organizations leveraging Big Data to make better business decisions, and identifies several emerging trends that are poised to become barriers to the adoption of Big Data technologies. Drawing on real-world customer use cases and extensive customer surveys, the research also validates that the WAN is a critical component of a distributed Big Data strategy and that breakthrough WAN optimization technologies are essential for the enterprise to fully harness the power and promise of Big Data.

Prior to this study, there was very little insight into the ability of existing WAN infrastructure to sustain the runaway growth of Big Data, stated Raj Kanaya, CEO and co-founder of Infineta Systems. Our collaborative research effort with IRG provides solid insights into the intersection of Big Data and the WAN, and how enterprises need to plan for and equip their infrastructure so they see material business benefits of Big Data sooner.

Big Data is the newest driver behind Big Traffic workflows traversing enterprise networks and refers to data sets that are not well suited for traditional storage or analytics systems. An estimated 80-90% of Big Data is comprised of semi- or unstructured data, unlike the structured data found in conventional data sets. In addition, Big Data is characterized by aggregate volumes in the 100s of terabytes to petabytes of distributed data. Indeed, mission-critical data sets are doubling or tripling in size every two years on average, with Gartner forecasting that enterprise data will grow approximately 800% by 2015.

Why Big Data Matters

Big Data heralds enormous change and untapped value for the enterprise, as new technologies emerge to handle Big Data analysis, presentation, management, and distribution. Key drivers behind these technologies include:

Stage2Data the Data Backup and Recovery Experts Achieve a Major Milestone of 1PB Backup Data Under Management

Oakville, Ontario (PRWEB) October 19, 2012

Jeff Collier, president of Stage2Data together with CTO Jacques Swanepoel announced late last week that Stage2Data had reached a major milestone by eclipsing 1PB of backup data under management.

Collier and Swanepoel addressed a group of Stage2Data associates and conveyed a strong message, “With 1PB of backup data under management it’s clear that we are now one of the most trusted backup and recovery companies in North America. Surpassing the 1PB mark is concrete proof that we lead the Data Backup and Recovery market in support, leading edge technology and market driven deployments.”

Collier outlined how Stage2Data managed to reach this impressive milestone so early in the companys history, saying Top of Class solutions and support are what set us apart. Our clients know that their data is 100% secure at all times and if they ever need support or service our North American based support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Another reason Stage2Data has eclipsed the 1PB of backup data under management? A strong foundation and decades of experience. Stage2Data was founded by Jeff Collier and Jacques Swanepoel and has grown from their impressive track records as industry leaders. Both founders earned their in-depth data backup and recovery credentials by being instrumental in the building of the company EVault. When EVault was sold, the pair founded Stage2Data. In 2009, Stage2Data was awarded the first North American Elite Partnership with EVault and the company has continued to aggressively grow and command the highly competitive market of data backup and recovery.

Another key factor in Stage2Data reaching the 1PB of backup data under management is Attix5. In 2011 Stage2Data earned the prestigious and highly sought after “Master Distribution for North America” title for Attix5, a proven disk to disk leader in the UK and EU.

With a dynamic and committed sales force and a quickly growing partnership and channel network, Stage2Data is launching a new appliance as well as preparing to launch Attix5 V7 in North America. Both signs of total confidence in their brand and of continued growth.
